LIVING LIKE A CHAMPION—VICTORY IN TOUGH TIMES

Life is filled with many problems and it is how we handle the problems that makes us a victor or a victim.  God call  believing, practicing christians more than conquerors in Romans 8:37.  It does not matter what the problem is that we are facing because every battle that we face as christians is winnable.  What matters then is how we react to the problem.  The following outline is from Psalms Chapter 3 from the Bible and it should help us to have victory in tough times and live like a champion.

1. The Crisis Of A Champion

We all face problems. They are just a part of life.

Ps 3:1-2 Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! Many are they that riece up against me.  Many there be which say there is no help for him in God. Selah (meditate of this).  See 2-Timothy 3:12

2. The Cry Of A Champion

All champions need someone to advise them.

Psalms 3:4 I cried unto the Lord with my voice and He heard me out of His holy hill. Selah (meditate on this).  See Luke 11:9-10 and Romans 10:13

3. The Confessions Of A Champion

Champions must have a winning mentality.  Our mental state is set by the words we speak.  Proverbs 18:21 says  Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it (death or life) shall eat the fruit thereof.  See Proverbs 23:23, Proverbs 6:2, and Proverbs 12:14.  Therefore in order for a christian to have victory in tough times and live like a champion, the believer must guard the confessions of what we say for Mark 11:23 says that we will have what be say.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man (a christian champion) believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (completeness, wholeness, wellness, and victory).

     1. Confess and Know That The Lord Is Your Source.

Psalms 3:8 Salvation belongs unto the Lord: (but) thy blessing (power & bounty) is upon thy people. Selah (meditate on this).

See Psalms 121:1, Psalms 27:1, Psalms 37:39-40, and James 1:17

     2. Confess and Know That The Lord Is Your Shield.

Psalms 3:3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me….   See Genesis 15:1, Psalms 33:20, Mark 11:22, and Ephesians 6:16

     3. Confess and Know That The Lord Is Your Splendor.  (It is God that makes us tick for He is our life)

Psalms 3:3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me: my glory…(It is God that causes us to shine)  See Isaiah 60:1, Psalms 89:17, and 2-Corinthians 3:18.

     4. Confess and Know That The Lord Is Your Strength

Psalms 3:3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me: my glory; and the lifter up of my head….(my strength)   See Psalms 29:11, Psalms 62:7, Psalms 69:35, and Psalms 37:39-40

     5. Confess and Know That The Lord Is Your Sustenance (supply)

Psalms 3:5 I laid me down and slept: I awoke; for the Lord sustained me.  See Psalms 55:22, Job 22:21, Matthew 11:28, Hebrews 4:9, Philippians 4:19, and 2-Peter 1:3

     6. Confess and Know That The Lord Is Your Surety (God is our insurance policy for whatever comes our way)

Psalms 3:6 I will not be afraid fo ten thousands of people that have set themselves against me round about.  See Psalms 9:10, Psalms 18:46-47, Psalms 23:4, Psalms 56:4, Psalms 71:16, Psalms 118:5-7, Psalms 121:7-8, Hebrews 13:5-6, Romans 8:31, Isaiah 54:17, Isaiah 59:19, Numbers 23:19, and Isaiah 41:10.

4. THE CONCLUSION FOR A CHAMPION

     1. We Have A Promise

Psalms 23:1 The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.  See Philippians 4:13 and Romans 8:37

     1. God Has A Plan

Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession (or confession) of our faith without wavering for He (our God) is faithful that promised.  See Galatians 6:9, Revelation 2:10, Isaiah 1:18-19, 1-Corinthians 15:57, and 1-Corinthians 2:14.

So, just do it and live to make God look good!
