FINDING THE PLEASURES OF LIFE

Everyone wants to enjoy the pleasures of life.  Psalms 16:11 teaches us that at the right hand of God or better said in His presence are pleasures forever more.  When we put or sometimes push our way into God presence by praising and worshipping Him, we will begin to enjoy the wealth of the pleasures that He has for us.  Here are a few:
1. The Wealth Of The Pleasure of Being Rescued From Calamity
Psalms 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all nations that forget God.
(wicked=Hebrew=rashah=pronounced raw-shaw=meaning the wrong-guilty-ungodly)
Romans 6:23 For the wages (the payday) of sin (for the wicked) is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

2. The Wealth Of The Pleasure of Being Redeemed from the Curse
Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law being made a curse for us (to redeem us from death and separation from God by receiving Him as our Lord and Saviour and establishing a relationship with God); for it is written cursed is everyone that hangs on a tree.

3. The Wealth Of The Pleasure of Being Released from Condemnation
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

4. The Wealth Of The Pleasure of Being Raised Up In Correctness (or righteousness)
2-Cor 5:21 For He (God) hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
Eph 2:6 And (Jesus) hath raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in heavenly places

5. The Wealth Of The Pleasure of Being Rewarded for Consistency (or faithfulness)
Proverbs 28:20 A faithful (consistent) man (for God) shall abound with blessings.

Push yourself in the presence of God by praising and worshipping the Lord and enjoy the pleasures that He has for you.  Pastor Larry Doggett

Watch Your Words

Words are seeds and they always grow a harvest.  Your harvest will either be positive or negative.  If you want a positive harvest of blessings in your life, you must speak positive words.  Every time negative words are spoken, it will kill the positive harvest of blessings.  Therefore, guard your mouth and watch your words.  The Bible teaches in Mark 11:23 that we will have what we say.  Proverbs 13:2 teaches that if we want good, then, speak good.  So watch your words for they produce the fruit that we will eat in life.

Til next time, love & blessings!

LIVING LIKE A CHAMPION—VICTORY IN TOUGH TIMES

Life is filled with many problems and it is how we handle the problems that makes us a victor or a victim.  God call  believing, practicing christians more than conquerors in Romans 8:37.  It does not matter what the problem is that we are facing because every battle that we face as christians is winnable.  What matters then is how we react to the problem.  The following outline is from Psalms Chapter 3 from the Bible and it should help us to have victory in tough times and live like a champion.

1. The Crisis Of A Champion

We all face problems. They are just a part of life.

Ps 3:1-2 Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! Many are they that riece up against me.  Many there be which say there is no help for him in God. Selah (meditate of this).  See 2-Timothy 3:12

2. The Cry Of A Champion

All champions need someone to advise them.

Psalms 3:4 I cried unto the Lord with my voice and He heard me out of His holy hill. Selah (meditate on this).  See Luke 11:9-10 and Romans 10:13

3. The Confessions Of A Champion

Champions must have a winning mentality.  Our mental state is set by the words we speak.  Proverbs 18:21 says  Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it (death or life) shall eat the fruit thereof.  See Proverbs 23:23, Proverbs 6:2, and Proverbs 12:14.  Therefore in order for a christian to have victory in tough times and live like a champion, the believer must guard the confessions of what we say for Mark 11:23 says that we will have what be say.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man (a christian champion) believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (completeness, wholeness, wellness, and victory).

     1. Confess and Know That The Lord Is Your Source.

Psalms 3:8 Salvation belongs unto the Lord: (but) thy blessing (power & bounty) is upon thy people. Selah (meditate on this).

See Psalms 121:1, Psalms 27:1, Psalms 37:39-40, and James 1:17

     2. Confess and Know That The Lord Is Your Shield.

Psalms 3:3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me….   See Genesis 15:1, Psalms 33:20, Mark 11:22, and Ephesians 6:16

     3. Confess and Know That The Lord Is Your Splendor.  (It is God that makes us tick for He is our life)

Psalms 3:3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me: my glory…(It is God that causes us to shine)  See Isaiah 60:1, Psalms 89:17, and 2-Corinthians 3:18.

     4. Confess and Know That The Lord Is Your Strength

Psalms 3:3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me: my glory; and the lifter up of my head….(my strength)   See Psalms 29:11, Psalms 62:7, Psalms 69:35, and Psalms 37:39-40

     5. Confess and Know That The Lord Is Your Sustenance (supply)

Psalms 3:5 I laid me down and slept: I awoke; for the Lord sustained me.  See Psalms 55:22, Job 22:21, Matthew 11:28, Hebrews 4:9, Philippians 4:19, and 2-Peter 1:3

     6. Confess and Know That The Lord Is Your Surety (God is our insurance policy for whatever comes our way)

Psalms 3:6 I will not be afraid fo ten thousands of people that have set themselves against me round about.  See Psalms 9:10, Psalms 18:46-47, Psalms 23:4, Psalms 56:4, Psalms 71:16, Psalms 118:5-7, Psalms 121:7-8, Hebrews 13:5-6, Romans 8:31, Isaiah 54:17, Isaiah 59:19, Numbers 23:19, and Isaiah 41:10.

4. THE CONCLUSION FOR A CHAMPION

     1. We Have A Promise

Psalms 23:1 The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.  See Philippians 4:13 and Romans 8:37

     1. God Has A Plan

Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession (or confession) of our faith without wavering for He (our God) is faithful that promised.  See Galatians 6:9, Revelation 2:10, Isaiah 1:18-19, 1-Corinthians 15:57, and 1-Corinthians 2:14.

So, just do it and live to make God look good!

Living Like A Champion

God calls the believers more than conquerors in Romans 8:37.  To be more than a conqueror means that we are champions.  But in order to be a champion there are some things that we must do.  To be a christian champion one must live a virtuous life.  We are told in 1-Timothy 4:13 “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers in word, in conversation (life-style), in charity, in spirit, in faith and in purity.  By fulfilling this command a beliver can have a virtuous life and live like a champion.

Prophecy For 2011

Well, it has been a while since posting to the “Watering Hole”.  Because of busy-ness, I had to reorganize my schedule.  Well, now I am back and hope to be posting daily or at least weekly and here’s the first for the new year.

Here’s the prophecy God gave me to share for the New Year 2011:

The year of 2011 will be a year of settling and unsettling.  2011 will be a year of turmoil and rest.  2011 will be a year of upheaval and calm.  There will be an unsettling, turmoil, and upheaval always for those that choose not to know Me and practice a life-style of sin, but there shall be a “great” unsettling, turmoil, and upheaval for those that name the name of Christ but choose to walk in rebellion to My Word and My Will saith God.  For those that walk in rebellion there shall be a strong showing of my disapproval saith God and everything that was thought to be covered shall be revealed.  For those that think that they have their unrighteousness covered, it shall be revealed and confusion, turmoil, and a great time of trepidation, fear, and uncertainty shall be unto them. But for those that walk with Me, saith God, there shall be a settling, a rest, and a calm that shall be covered with My manifested presence and covered with My manifested blessings and glory.  For those that walk with Me there shall be a greater settling of knowing Me and knowing who you are in Me.  For those that walk with Me there shall be a greater rest of knowing that all is well and every need supplied. And for those that walk with Me there shall be a great calm and peace. And even though there shall be great struggles and battles in 2011, for those that walk with Me and that walk by My Word, it shall be victory with exceeding joy for I shall establish it with you and you shall know that I am thy Mighty, Almighty God and that the Kingdom of Heaven in 2011 is yours saith God. I will pour out of My Spirit upon the land and the people and will anoint all who will yield themselves unto Me to reap the harvest in 2011 and with great power there shall be signs, wonders, miracles and harvest that it might be known that I am Jehovah God. Fear not and walk with Me for the Kingdom Of Heaven in 2011 is yours saith God.

Thank you Lord for the But and all that follows!

Choose To Follow God

Life is a series of choices.  Choose God and the blessings of God will follow and chase you down.  Ps 128:1-2 “Blessed is everyone that feareth (reverence) the Lord; that walks in His ways. For thou shall eat the labor of thine hands: happy shall thou be, and it shall be well with thee.”  The wellness of life will come through our obedience to God; therefore this day and every day choose to walk with God.

Thank God For His Faithfulness

Praise God for His faithfulness to His children.  Phil 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Christ (the day the Lord comes back for His children);”  Trust in God for He is a God that can not fail.  The Scripture has declared that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  What He did in the Bible He still does, so make the Word yours. Ps 138:7-8 “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me…:”.  So take heart! God will do whatever is necessary to take care of His children.  Just make sure you are a child of God and if you need help with that then contact us at Fountain of Life Christian Center in Monticello, Arkansas.

Handling Offensives

Many time we have the opportunity to be offended.  If we receive the offense, it will control us and God does not want us to be controlled by anything but Him, His Spirit, and His Word.  How then can we handle the offense.  God gives a key in Ps 119:165 “Great peace have they which love thy law (the Word of God); and nothing shall offend them.”  The key then is to love the Word of God enough to walk by it and in the process of loving the Word of God enough to obey it, great peace, the shalom of God, will come. Along with the peace will come the strength to not take offence.  Therefore we should relish the Word, read the Word, receive the Word, recite the Word, remember the Word, radiate the Word, remit the Word, release the Word and rest in the Word and when we do we will not be offended by anyone at anytime.  Shalom!
